Bohemian Community Supported Agriculture
About the Bohemian Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
The Bohs CSA runs in partnership with Michael and Niamh at Dún Déagh Farm based in Dublin.
Becoming a member means supporting our local farmer and our community. You have a direct relationship with the farm, and you’re learning about where our food comes from and the work that goes into growing it.Â
It works by paying in advance for a share of the harvest. This gives Michael and Niamh a reliable and predictable income and members a weekly box of fresh, seasonal produce.
It can also mean sharing both the harvest and the risks together – enjoying the abundance of a good season and spreading the load if there’s a tougher season.
At its core, the CSA is about investing directly into our local economy and strengthening our local food systems. By supporting local, we’re building wealth and keeping it circulating within our community so that it benefits the people who live here.Â
The 2026-2027 season will run from June to February (38 weeks).
This is divided into two 19-week segments, still giving the farm stability while giving members more flexibility.
- First segment: June – October
- Second segment: October – February
This year, we’re also doubling capacity with two groups / collection days. When becoming a member, you choose one collection day for the season.
- Tuesday collection: 2nd June – 16th February
- First segment: 2nd June – 6th October (19 weeks)
- Second segment: 13th October – 16th February (19 weeks)
2. Wednesday collection: 3rd June – 17th FebruaryÂ
- First segment: 3rd June – 7th October (19 weeks)
- Second segment: 14th October – 17th February (19 weeks)
Types of Shares
There are two share options:
Option 1: Full share
Collect a full bag of produce every week.
Option 2: Half share
Split a full bag with a friend or neighbour and collect together weekly or rotate the collections.
What is a Share?
Each weekly share includes a variety (usually 6-7 different items) of fresh, organic, seasonal produce from worth €18.
There will be weekly staples (onions, potatoes, garlic) plus a rotation of seasonal produce. This varies throughout the year – expect tomatoes in the summer, root veg in the winter, and a Christmas box in December.
It’s common for farms to trade produce with each other, so occasionally some of the produce you collect may be from other Irish farms.
Where’s collection?
Currently, the Bohs CSA has capacity for 70 full shares.

Bohemian FC Offices
Phibsborough Shopping Centre

Membership Pricing
Membership works out to be just under €18 / week for a full share and under €9 / week for a half share.Â
Payment is made directly to Dún Déagh Farm with Michael at the first collection day, and there are two payment plans available.
Members also split the cost of a solidarity share: the cost of one or two full shares, divided among members (usually €6 per member). Upfront costs can be a barrier, and this helps support local families who could benefit most.Â
Give us a shout if you have any questions or concerns about pricing or making payment.

Common Questions
What if we’re away for a couple of weeks?
If you’re not around to collect for a week or two, organise for a friend, neighbour, or member to take your share while you’re away.
What if we can’t make the Tuesday evening collection window?
The short collection time is great because it’s a chance to catch up but it’s also difficult to make it every week.
Use the WhatsApp group to see if someone else can help with collection, or let volunteers know and we’ll work something out.
When do we pay?
First payments are made on the scheduled payment date / on your first collection day. Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
