This adds up to between €500 and €1,000 over eight years once you factor in replacements, quality, and maintenance.
The Bohs Kids Bike Library offers a simpler, more affordable alternative: a shared fleet of good-quality, reliable bikes that families can borrow for just €60 a year.
How it Works
Contact Bohs Co-op to book a bike and arrange a collection date and time. If you’re not sure about bike sizing, check out the below fitting guide to find the right bike.
2) Collection appointment
Come to Bohs Co-op during your scheduled time. We’ll show you the bike and make sure it fits, walk you through the borrow process, and answer any questions.
3) Registration
During collection, you’ll complete borrowing forms and set up a monthly payment of €5.
Once you’ve registered and collected your bike, you’re good to go. Enjoy the bike and have fun cycling.
5) Return the bike
Bring the bike back by the agreed date. All bikes must be returned or brough in for a check-up every six months. Get in touch if you’d like to extend the borrowing period or swap for a different size.

2) Punctuality

3) Borrowing period
Bikes are borrowed on a monthly basis for up to six months at a time. After six months, you can extend or swap the bike – just contact us and bring it in for a check-up.

A responsibility of care means the bike is returned to the library in good condition for other children in the community to use. Any damages or repairs should also be reported as soon as possible.
5) Safety and use
Parents and guardians should be familiar with safe bike use and how to perform basic checks. A care sheet with guidance on general maintenance and safety.
6) Borrowing Policy
